The Oxford Botanic Garden consists of ”collections of plants that are grown for purposes other than purely aesthetic reasons”
Highlights of my visit:
I saw the banana tree and the sugar cane plant. Nostalgic.
I got to see the rice and cotton plant. As a child, I could not get my head round the fact that a plant could produce Cotton. I felt its a task to technical for a plant to accomplish.
I had a preview of desert plants and how they survive.
